How do you sense life?

Our busy routines distract us from perceiving the beauty in our daily life, taking our mind back to the past and forth to the future. It can be hard for us being in the here and now.

Poetry is a powerful tool to bring us to the present, enhancing our ability of perception of the world. Poetry has also the power to stimulate emotions, and summon memories. A poet above all is an observer, and the art of writing is an important tool of self-knowledge.

“Live Poetically” is an experiential workshop developed by the Brazilian poet Marluce Lima. She dares to have a poetic view of things, even during cloudy days, and she believes that the change of the world depends on our particular way of perceiving things in the details.

This workshop aims to stimulate our poetic vision, to enhance our creativity, focus, and concentration. We will be tasting poetry by exploring our 5 senses through exercises of synesthesia, free writing and body consciousness.

A sensory experience opened to everyone who wants to become the poet of their own lives.
